Destiny
In his introduction, Theodor Reik, a student of Zigmund Freud, recalls meeting his mentor who was out for a stroll along Vienna’s Ringstrasse. As they walked together, the author of “Listening with the Third Ear” recounts asking the great man for advice about marriage and committing to a profession.
“I can only tell you of my personal experience,” he (Freud) said. “When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons. In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves. In the important decisions of our personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature.”
One might ask how to tap into the unconscious. I’ve explored several avenues: hypnotherapy, meditation, dream analysis, and past life regression. The Law of Attraction would indicate that what is in our energy field is what we put out. Life is a mirror. To assess how you are doing look around you. Is your life chaos? Conflicted?
Full of loving friends and family? Abundant? Take note and reflect.
